Microsoft Office 365 Users Will Be Required to Make Changes in Logins

Microsoft has announced that all users of Microsoft Office 365 will need to comply with Modern Authentication standards effective October 13, 2020 in order to avoid disruption of services. According to the article found at This Article  “we will stop supporting and retire Basic Authentication for Exchange Active Sync (EAS), Post Office Protocol (POP), Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP), and Remote PowerShell (RPS) in Exchange Online. This means that new or existing applications using one or more of these API’s/protocols will not be able to use Basic Authentication when connecting to Office 365 mailboxes or endpoints and will need to update how they authenticate.” and OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect standard-compliant authentication service enables developers to authenticate any Microsoft identity”
