Windows 7 End of Support and Updates is Coming Soon

On January 14, 2020, Microsoft will end all support for Windows 7 operating systems. In a quote from Microsoft “After January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows 7. You can continue using Windows 7 even after January 14, 2020. Windows 7 will start and run just like it’s doing today. But we advise you upgrade to Windows 10 before 2020 as Microsoft won’t provide technical support, software updates, security updates, and fixes after January 14, 2020”

What this means to our clients is that we need to start helping you upgrade to Windows 10 either via an OS upgrade, or a new Dell PC, which all include Windows 10 on them. Failure to do this by January 14 can mean potential hacking, virus, and spyware intrusions, and malware that generates spam and slows the computer. Without Microsoft support, the operating system becomes extremely vulnerable to these attacks.

So in order to help you budget for upgrades, we wanted to post this friendly reminder, there are about 6 more months to go before your operations should be off of Windows 7 for the sake of safety and security. Technology Unlimited is always ready to help with service, support, and new software and hardware. We appreciate you business! Give us a call and we can help you build a plan.
